Step 1: Creating An Account
Go to Milestone CE and click “Create Account” in the top right corner (after the initial set-up, you will enter your e-mail address and password in the text boxes below to gain access to your account). Enter your contact, license, and billing information in the designated boxes and create a password. Then indicate your account preferences (we promise we won’t spam your inbox!). Once you’ve entered all of your information, click “Create Account” on the bottom left side of your screen. Now you’re ready to get started with your MCE Courses.
Step 2: Selecting MCE Courses
Go to the course catalog link to get started. Select your state and profession by clicking on the light blue drop boxes on the righthand side.
Once you’ve indicated your location and field, a list of courses will appear. I’ve selected Indiana for the state (where Milestone CE is based) and OT-OTA for the profession (since it’s still officially OT Appreciation Month!) for the purposes of this demonstration. (Please note: Only a small sample of MCE OT-OTA courses is shown below. Please explore the course catalog for a comprehensive view of CEU options, and don’t forget that Milestone offers customizable contact bundles!). To choose the MCE course that best fits your needs and interests, click on the Module titles for CE course descriptions and goals. Then, click “Add To Cart” and you know the rest!
Step 3: Reviewing Your MCE Account
Once you have created your account and purchased your CEUs, your profile will look something like this:
The links under the title, “My Account,” house all of the important tools for navigating through your MCE profile. Under “Courses To Complete” you’ll see all of your incomplete MCE courses which are also displayed to the right. By clicking on “Add Additional Courses,” you will be able to select additional CEUs from the course catalog, which once purchased, will be housed under the “Courses To Complete” label. Your CEU history will show all of the completed continuing education courses you have ever purchased with Milestone. This is also where you can reprint your certificates of completion. If you want to change your password, billing, or contact information, select “Edit Account Information,” and follow the steps for the editing process. Finally, you can always get in touch with us by clicking the “Contact Us” link and selecting your preferred method of communication (phone, e-mail, or live chat!). And don’t forget to “Logout” when you’re done!
As mentioned, to the right of the navigation links, your incomplete CEUs are shown. Once you’ve purchased a Milestone Continuing Education CE unit, you may download the course material to your computer, or portable device (iPads, tablets, etc.) by clicking on the booklet icon under the title “Download Course Material.” Once the material is downloaded, you can even print the entire course if you’d prefer spending a little less time in front of a screen. When you’re feeling confident with the content of the CEU you’ve selected, click the paper and pencil icon under “Take Exam.” You may take the exam as many times as you need to in order to obtain that passing score. While the exam itself is not timed, after a certain period of inactivity, your exam will automatically timeout for security purposes. Also, please keep in mind that Milestone CEs are only accessible for one (1) year after the date of purchase (indicated under the “Expires” label).
